Day 68 – Washington, D.C.

Obama ’08!

The past five days here in D.C. have been spectacular. Hanging out with my brother Noel, my sister-in-law Patricia and their two kids has been such a blast! We took the kids to the pool on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, thus setting the record for the most consecutive pool days for the young family. On Tuesday morning, before we went to the pool, Noel treated me to a round of golf where we both had a blast! Don’t ask me how I shot because we “forgot” to grab the score card off the cart. Either way, for this being my second time out in the past six months (not to mention I was playing with Kmart clubs), my tragic play was to be expected. But like I said before, we both had a fantastic time!

Yesterday, I decided to walk around the Mall and get some pictures… Though I’ve been to D.C. many times, I’ve never taken the time to get some good shots. All in, my little walk turned into a 10-mile+ stroll through the nations capital! Needless to say, I got all the pictures I wanted. : ) Like the one above…

Consistent with the rest of my journey, this visit too was a blessing.

God is good.

Until next time,
Omar
