Day 69 – Owensboro, KY

Talk about a great day! Not only did I finally get to meet all of the people I will be going on the Mission Trip with, but I also got to see the Celtics beat the Lakers in a 24-point come from behind victory!!! : )

Seriously, everyone on the Mission Team seems really great… Though everyone has different backgrounds and is at different places in life, I am really excited about the dynamic we have. On top of that, the guys are staying with a family (empty-nesters) from the local church and they are also great… They had rice crispy treats for us when we arrived!

All together, there is going to be seven of us going to India and six of us heading on to Malaysia. Today, we did some light-hearted “get to know you” exercises, but from here on out I’m under the impression that the experience is going to get a lot more intense and I am so very excited about what God has planned for this group. Above is a picture of the group (trainers included). Please keep us all in your prayers as we have a challenging path ahead of us.

Last, but not least, I want to send out a special thanks for all of those who have contributed financially to make this trip happen… I couldn’t have done it without you. (Additionally, if anyone still wants to donate, there is still time to pledge!)

Here is a list of the donors to date (listed alphabetically):
– Antonio Bravo
– Araseli Bravo
– Bonnie Duncan
– Heather Hendershot
– Hilda Bravo
– Meissa Dia
– Ricardo Dawkins

And here is the latest balance sheet:
Airfare: $2,700.00
Room/Board: $1,900.00
Total: $4,600.00
Donations: $2,900.00
Pledges: $300.00
Balance: $1,400.00

No matter what, I don’t think I will ever be able to express how grateful I am for how amazing my family and friends are or how undeserving I know I am of all the blessings that God bestows on my life through all of you…

God is love.

Until next time,
