Day 136 – Farewell Dinner

As most of the group is heading back to the U.S. tomorrow, we spent today running through the Centro (“downtown”) and the Mercado (“open air market”), picking up souvenirs. This evening, our cousin Hector invited all of us over to his house for dinner… And of course, it turned into a party! (group picture above.) His wife Lupe made the best tacos de carne asada (“steak tacos”) ever!

At dinner, I got a really good chance to hang out with my cousin Jorge Luis and his two sons, Ahmed and Jorge Jr. As I hadn’t hung out with him for about 15 years, it was really great to catch up with him. We have plans to “relieve the good old days” and play ball later this week.

Once again, an amazing day.

God Always Provides.

Until next time,
Omar
